Experiencing the world we live in is fundamental to our collective happiness. Headout’s mission is and will always be to unlock this happier world by connecting high-quality live experiences with people all over the globe, giving them the opportunity to be entertained, educated and inspired.

To fulfil this mission, we've built a team and a culture that continues to execute every single day in the interest of our customers and our partners. Along the way, we realised that the way we do things has evolved slightly from our initial playbook. Our principles, like our people and the world we live in, aren't static. They evolve. We evolve. This doc, titled Life at Headout - Our Playbook captures the culture we will build upon for the next few years to come. It is part of who we are and part who we want to be. Our culture isn't perfect, no one's is. But we like to be candid about things that are in WIP and this is one of them.

The playbook will serve as a guide to our Operating Principles (what people call values/culture). We purposely do not call these as values because values without actions and behaviours attached to them are empty. Our principles are essentially a set of behaviours we reward, encourage and amplify. It is what we look for when we search for new team mates or offer new challenges to our existing team. In the same way, it also tells us what doesn't work at Headout and what/who cannot be a part of who we are.

These principles are a derivative of our workplace mission: enable people to do their life's best work. This is what's different about Headout. The idea isn't to create the happiest workplace. It is to ensure you get to have challenging work that people love to do and an environment that supports them to achieve this. Happiness at work is a simple function of this.

What does it mean?

We are all here with a singular focus to serve our mission, our customers and our partners. Everything starts with this and ends with this. We are all here to do what's best for Headout overall. The best of us are extremely passionate about our larger goals but non-territorial and egoistic about their own domains/teams.
